Past Members

The Martha Fire Department has had many of it's past firefighters move to other parts of the country or state. This page is dedicated to these individuals to show our appreciation for the support they gave us. This tribute also shows the last position held by this individual.

The department wants to especially thank our previous Fire Chief. George Mateyko was one of the original members of the department and was appointed as Chief in 1996. His efforts contributed to the success of the department. George spent many hours building and repairing most of our equipment. Most of the vehicles were primarilly George's effort. He always was willing to assist those in need. He left the department in October 2002 when he decided to accept a new job in another state. He is now a member of the Houston County Fire Department in Georgia.

The Williams Family (Tom, Tanya, and Major Blaze) sadly left the department to accept an overseas assignment with the Air Force. They are now stationed in Belgium.
