On November 22, 2003 the department hosted AirEvac Lifeteam for landing zone training and orientation. We want
to thank Pilot Mike Kendrick, Flight Nurse Tricia Gonzales, Flight Paramedic Eddie Hart, and Membership Coordinator Michelle
Barrett for their time.
The Martha Fire Department is pleased to announce the recent selection for a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
grant. This grant will be used to purchase a portable air compressor to refill SCBA bottles. With this equipment
the department will be able to reservice air bottles on scene.
During race season the fire department provides crash rescue and fire support at Altus Motor Speedway.

The fire department participates in the annual Christmas Parade in Altus, OK.

The department also assisted the Altus AFB fire department during the Altus America Airshows in 2000 and 2002.
We provided a pumper and four firefighters to help in case of a structural response during the airshow.
